RETURNS POLICY

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied, you can return the product to us and we will either repair / replace it or credit your account, subject to the terms below. This policy applies to products bought from Blue Electrical.

Blue Electrical has a 20% handling fee on all returns that meet the terms and conditions mentioned below.

No Deliveries/Collections will be allowed until payment for the products have been made in full and cleared by our bankers.

You can return an unwanted product to us, provided: 

  • it is undamaged and unused, with the original labels and stickers still attached. 
  • it is in the original packaging, which must be undamaged and in its original condition with all seals still intact (if applicable). 
  • it is not missing any accessories or parts.
  • The returned products must include the receipt or proof of purchase.

You can log a return by emailing returns@bluelectical.co.za within 30 days of delivery or, collection by you of the unwanted product. After 30 days, you can only return a product if it is defective within the products’ warranty period.

Once your return is confirmed, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send the unwanted product. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the product is defective, damaged or, if you receive the incorrect product. This will enable us to evaluate the issue and take expedient, corrective action. Should you fail to alert us of a delivery defect within 7 days of receipt, we will not accept return of the product.

Defective products

We do our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of a high quality and without defects. 

A defect is a material imperfection in the manufacture of a product or any characteristic of a product, which makes the product less acceptable than one would reasonably be entitled to expect in the circumstances. 

The following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to a return under this section: 

  • faults resulting from normal wear and tear.
  • damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product.
  • damage arising from electrical surges or sea air corrosion.
  • damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product.
  • damage arising from unauthorised alterations to the product; and
  • where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you.

Charges

If you return a defective product to us, but you fail to return all of the accessories that were sold with that product, we are entitled (subject to applicable law) to refuse the return, only to replace the item that you did return, or to estimate the value of the missing accessories and only to credit or refund you in respect of the returned item.

Exchanges

Should you wish to exchange your purchase, you will be charged a 20% handling fee per item exchanged.

Warranty

For faulty products our standard warranty period is 6 months. In a few cases, this may be longer

Refunds

Once we have received and inspected your return, we will confirm, via email, if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you will be refunded Please take note of the following: If you paid via EFT, SnapScan or Zapper, please remember we need your bank details so we can process your refund. A bank transfer refund could take up to 5 working days to reflect, whilst a refund to your credit card can take up to 2 weeks, depending on your bank. If you’re still waiting after this time, please contact us.

Courier 

Gauteng: Orders of R1000 or more will be shipped for free anywhere in Gauteng. Any orders of R999 or less will be shipped for R99 anywhere in Gauteng.

Rest of South Africa: Orders of R2500 or more will be shipped for free anywhere in South Africa. Any Orders of R2499 or less will carry a shipping charge of R199 anywhere in South Africa.

We use a courier company called Parcel it who transport lights for most of the lighting companies in South Africa. They are experienced and will look after your goods with the utmost care and respect. We aim to get your goods to you as soon as possible but due to unforeseen delays that may occur, the products may take 1 to 14 days to get to you unless otherwise agreed.
